Worry and Stress

My First Post

Hey Everyone!

This is officially my first post on my blog, Samy's Daily Walk. Today I want to focus on the topic of worry, stress, and anxiety. Here is a verse that really stood out to me.

 Romans 5:5
"And this hope will not lead to disappointment. For we know how dearly God loves us, because He has given us the Holy Spirit to fill our hearts with His love."

This verse stood out to me because I tend to worry a lot. I get stressed and anxious easily and I have to constantly remind myself the God loves and cares for me. God always has a plan. Even though you might not see the big picture, He always knows what is best for you, and He will always give you it. We need to accept it, learn from it, and trust Him. In God we have hope and it will not disappoint us. God loves us so much that he sent His only son, Jesus Christ, to die for all of humanity and our sins. He gave us the Holy Spirit to guide us, be our helper, and fill us with God's perfect love. If God's love is perfect, then we have no need to worry or be afraid. Here are some verses about God's perfect love and the Holy Spirit to help reassure us in troubled times.

1 Corinthians 13:7
"Love never gives up, never loses faith, is always hopeful, and endures through every circumstance."

Romans 8:26
"And the Holy Spirit helps us in our weakness. For example, we don't know what God wants us to pray for. But the Holy Spirit prays for us with groanings that cannot be expressed in words."

These verses give me peace. 1 Corinthians 13:7 states the characteristics of what love is. Since God's love is perfect, He will never give up on us, never lose faith, will always stay hopeful, and endure through all our circumstances. God will never abandon us. He is always there through the ups and downs. He always sees the bigger picture, and we have to trust Him. Romans 8:26 states that the Holy Spirit helps and prays for us. We are not alone. We have no reason not to trust God. I know that sometimes it is hard to trust God blindly and not stress out, but we always have to remember that God loves us and has a plan. We have no need to worry because God always has a better reason behind all our circumstances. These verses should be a reminder and encouragement to us. I know that as a born "worrier", this is something I need to work on greatly. I hope this will help you with worry and stress, because I know that whenever I begin to feel overwhelmed, I can go straight to God and His Word for reassurance and encouragement. God loves you!

Love,
Samy
